Eureka in 1870

Eureka, 1870

I figure we’ll just do a progression, since I keep finding great Eureka photos in my digital collection.   As always, keep clicking on the photo to get larger images.

I have to say I love the big barn on 2nd Street.

Notice the trees have been pushed back much further, but haven’t disappeared completely.

I remember old, old buildings along the waterfront when I was a kid.  I am sure many folks see the new development in that area as an improvement (and so do I in many ways) but I can’t help but mourn those old buildings a little…

They’re great, aren’t they? There are so many great photos out there, just not in one place. It’s been fun for me to collect and share.
