I went down to visit my parents in Santa Rosa this weekend and passed through Alton.
It doesn’t look much like this anymore.

Lynn, the Spesert spelling is correct on the 1914 photo. It was taken either by my Great Uncle Frank Spesert, or my grandmother Mary Spesert Rowley, commercial photographers in Rohnerville during that time period.
Oh, what great info. Thanks Ross. I have a few of their photos and now I’ll be able to cite them correctly.
