These aren’t us, but they are amazing. This site holds a wonderful and varied collection of historic photos. Some of the portraits featuring immigrants in their native dress (down the page in the Ellis Island Collection) are especially interesting.

Fantastic links as always Lynette! The Ellis Island pictures are incredible, both my father’s parents immigrated from Holland at separate times, coming thru Ellis Island and then meeting in Chicago. They married and moved to Washington State which is where my dad was born. My Aunt purchased one of the bricks with our family names on it that is at Ellis Island. I can’t get over some of these, the little boys with dutch shoes on are so cute.
